Dilution Guide
-
Castile paste is diluted using hot distilled, spring or drinking water.
-
Dilute paste using the following ratio: 1 part Castile paste to 4 parts water. This yields a 20% soap. (You can add more or less water to change the concentration if desired.)
-
In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
-
When the water is boiling, turn off heat add the paste and stir to combine by dispersing paste in water as much as possible.
-
Cover tightly with a fitted cover to allow paste to melt completely. That can take up to 8 hours depending on how much soap you’re diluting. When the soap is dissolved, let it cool.
-
Transfer contents to a bottle with a tight seal. Please note, the soap will be thin like water which works great in hand pumps or foaming bottles.
-
Your concentrated Castile liquid is now ready to use!
-
Soap may be stored up to year in a cool dark place.
